Evaluación de la flexibilidad activa y pasiva en trampolinistas españoles

(Active and passive flexibility evaluation in Spanish trampolinists)

Cross-sectional, comparative and correlational study of flexibility in Spanish trampoliners. Method: Sample consists of 60 national elite trampoliners, grouped by competitive category into 4 groups: Under-15 male (n=23; 11,95±1,79 years) and female (n=9; 11,44±1,23 years); Absolute male (n=18; 20,72±4,66 years) and female (n=10; 16,1±2,02 years). ROM has been evaluated with angles measurements by analyzing digital photography in active and passive positions, with flexion and extension of trunk and shoulders, flexion and abduction of the hips. We made comparisons between groups and correlations between ROM and scores. Results: Female´s groups show higher ROMs than males; ROMs of the flexion of trunk and shoulders have higher significant correlations with scores. Conclusions: The results suggest less influence of flexibility on the trampoline in relation to other gymnastics sports, with some requirements proper to the specialty.
