The links between applied research, professional practices, and engagement with athletes and coaches continue to evolve as the practitioners and scholars within the profession gain the respect and recognition of the sporting community. This paper provides an overview of the focus of sport psychological research, practice, and training in Australia and highlights differences to the German educational system.
