2011 USOC International Altitude Training Symposium, October 5 - 7, Colorado Springs

The 2011 USOC International Altitude Training Symposium brought together athletes, coaches, and sport scientists who have a keen interest in the practical application of altitude training for the enhancement of athletic performance. It presented cutting-edge research on the applied aspects of altitude training, provided the opportunity to discuss practical strategies on how to utilize altitude training in preparation for the London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Olympics. In addition, the 2011 USOC IATS wanted to nurture collaborative research efforts among athletes, coaches and sport scientists for the purpose of understanding altitude training as it applies to athletic performance.
